In the centre-east of France, at the crossroads of the Savoy, the Dauphiné and the Massif Central, a step between Paris and the Mediterranean, Lyon has imposed itself, historically and economically, as an important capital city. As a Gallo-Roman city with a prestigious past, Lyon has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1998. It is one of the largest urban centres in France, spreading over 500 hectares. Lyon is a city with multiple assets which reveal themselves progressively, each asserting its originality. You will enjoy discovering their charms of the Croix-Rousse which recalls the history of the silk industry which made the city wealthy in the 19th century. Take a walk in Fourvière, famous for its basilica. Get caught by the light lingering on the roofs of the gothic hotels and the Renaissance palace with its Florentine colours in Lyon’s old neighbourhoods, Saint-Paul and Saint-Jean.. Lyon, a cultural city, welcomes you in its Decorative Arts and Fabric Museum. The park of the Tête d’Or, a modern area, is a peaceful place to stroll surrounded by its rose gardens, lake and zoo... Enjoy the markets on the Saône banks and the large, bright squares ornamented by beautiful fountains in the pedestrian area. Don’t miss the magic hour when the Saône glistens, when the facades shines, when the frescos come alive: Lyon, an early morning city ! And then, Lyon claims to be the French capital of gastronomy, you will be able to enjoy famous restaurants and enter the world of great wines with the nearby and fascinating country of Beaujolais. If you wish to study French in France, a stay in Lyon is an excellent way to discover this country, its culture, and its gastronomy - a feast for the senses and the mind!

Lyon bleu
Lyon Bleu International is a private teaching centre created in 1999 for the study of the French language and culture. The school is situated right in the middle of the city of Lyon, on the first floor of a pretty Art Deco building, between the old part of the city and the business area. It is at the crossroads of several routes of metro, buses and tramway, which makes it very easy to get to.

It is a small school which sets itself as a quality alternative to traditional large academic centres. Lyon Bleu offers very flexible programmes and relies on modern and active teaching skills.

An attractive programme for cultural activities awaits you with, at least, one different activity every week. Lyon Bleu also offers excursions and activities at the weekend in relation with the tourist office of Lyon.

Before you get there, you should take a Written Test on line to assess your level and select the most suitable group. An additional Oral Test, on the first Monday of your programme, will allow you to confirm your level as well as the chosen group.
