Brighton
  Great Britain
Brighton is a coastal city, only one hour from London, which attracts English holiday-makers as well as tourists from the whole world. It was in the past a holiday resort of the nobility and it became a young and colourfully city, lively and quiet at the same time. Due to the presence of two universities there, there are an important student population, a continuous cultural liveliness and an animated night life all year long. You will find on the 'Lanes' numerous bars, pubs, shops, restaurants, halls, cinemas and theatres. The 'Pavilion', historical royal residence, is the most famous building of Brighton, and its gardens are a place of meeting and rest which you have to visit. The beach and the sea give the city a particular atmosphere. You will find there the famous 'Pier', an amusement park with computer games set up on a quay. The marina is another place to go for a walk or to meet people; you will enjoy there backward and forward motion of the boats and a very beautiful sight. The Museum of Brighton shows interesting collections in a splendid setting and the Festival of Music, one of most important in the United Kingdom, welcomes, in May, many internationally famous artists. Moreover, please note, if you are a nature lover, that the city is surrounded by a splendid hinterland, easily accessible and ideal to stroll, to picnic, to go cycling or riding. There is a great deal to discover in Brighton, it is a city where you will really enjoy learning English.
